He's also eagerly been ripping on Sufjan Stevens

Which is perhaps more fair than his ripping on Radiohead, since he's got many obvious and glaring flaws. But it still strikes me as him holding a decade long grudge. Like he's giving us his delayed reaction to the way the guy was treated 10 years ago. In 2006 when people were praising Sufjan as the greatest new musical genius ever ripping him a new one might have made sense, but now it seems kind of out of touch. He's made his mark on the musical landscape in a way that is worth taking into serious consideration and has more or less settled into a career where he's no longer The Next Big Thing, so there really isn't any need to getting all reactionary about it.
I remember seeing him get really #triggered when he saw that We Are The Pipettes was the only album from the 00s to end up in one of our top 100 album polls several years back. I bet he'd be hankering to rip on that album too if he were to ever review it (in spite of the fact that literally nobody gives a shit about the Pipettes anymore, except for probably me).
But I suppose these types of reviews are far more interesting than boring reviews of 90s artist number 18 who starts with the letter C, so I can't complain too much.
