Half Japanese - 1/2 Gentlemen/Not Beasts (some of the craziest hardcore/experimental punk rock I've ever heard - very amaturish but yet has a sort of lo-fi outsider appeal)
Half Japanese - Horrible EP (they got a lot better only a few years later. This one has actual "songs" and its very good. Check out "Walk Through Walls". Should be on that list of most scary or at least awkward songs. Jad goes absolutely nuts)
Daniel Johnston and Jad Fair - It's Spooky (this really grew on me.. the production is next to nothing and these are such basic and amaturish sounding songs but I love it for that ultimately. And almost every song has a nice melody, Daniel is the best at that - songs like "Nothing Left" or "Villain" though are amazingly good)
Daniel Johnston - Fun (not sure why this flopped.. very good album, accessible enough I guess? For the era at least..I dunno it's a shame this album gets passed off because it's quite good. I mean I prefer Daniel being himself and not really with a full band that much but this was done well enough)
Daniel Johnston - Rejected Unknown (this full band type album is done the best since at least "Continued Story". Its more "ramshackle" like those Syd Barrett solo albums and fits his style perfectly)
Beach Boys - Sunshine Tomorrow 1&2 sets (Came back to this again since they came out; that Wild Honey stereo set is awesome, and I've been waiting for years for it. Love the little outtakes and remixes too. Wild Honey and Smiley Smile are generally my favorite Beach Boys besides Smile and Pet Sounds)
Swell Maps - In Jane From Occupied Europe (psych post punk experimental? Needs more listens but very up my alley)
Still have to hear more Can and some of the things Pugeye sent me! Been working a lot lately so haven't had much time for a lot of variety of music.
