I havent been doing much recording in the last couple months (doing that month of songs thing I did, if you remember me doing that, totally burned me out), but we'll see i suppose once i get to the point where i can get the ball rolling on that again.
Drinking didn't help with recording much, it was more just an "i'm bored and have nothing to do, guess i'll drink" kind of thing. (which is definitely the kind of drinking that leads to alcoholism, so it's probably for the best that i recognised that and quit)
Weed did tend to help with music. Not for recording per se, but the tedium of editing endless takes and listening to the same tiny chunk of music over and over was helped by having a bit of a stone going.
