Any other Ingrid Bergman films you'd recommend? She's another one of my favorite actresses but all I've seen is "Notorious", "Casablanca" and "Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde".
Seen "Blow Up" (didn't like it) and most key De Palma (who I basically like even if he's never really made a *great* film) but "Blow Out" seems to often be called one of his best, right? Also recently saw "Phantom of the Paradise" which was pretty cool, probably his weirdest film (unless you count "Body Double" which is only superficially weird and not in a good way).
Yeah "O Lucky Man" does seem pretty strange, which is usually a plus with me.
"The Tribe" does sorta seem like it'll be a chore for obvious reasons but it also seems like it'll be completely unique for those same reasons so I'm pretty curious. I also had a film critic as a client when I lived in NYC who raved about the film when he saw it (I believe at Cannes).
Nope, never seen any Guy Maddin. Will probably check out "My Winnipeg" first.
As I said in my comment on the list itself, I wish I knew less about "Hanging Rock" even though there probably isn't much to know.
Yeah, there's no way I'd ever watch "Head" sober. Have a Monkees hits comp but am generally not a fan of their music so my interest mainly has to do with the trippy weirdness and Zappa's involvement (though the cast seems pretty interesting in general).
Mainly interested in "Ms. 45" because of its inclusion in the book "House of Psychotic Women" (which is excellent btw). Am also somewhat curious about Ferrara, since all I've seen of his is "Bad Lieutenant" (which isn't great but it's pretty unique and enjoyable in its own way).
