Forgot Bigelow directed "Near Dark" but have always been reluctant to watch it because it just seems like it'll be just another cheesy 80's vampire flick (like "The Lost Boys" which my gf forced me to watch- it sucked). I generally always find vampire films disappointing for some reason except for "Let The Right One In" (which is obviously not your typical vampire flick).
"But if you're a perv, enjoy seeing underage Melanie Griffith doing full nudity."
I am and I will but the days of me watching an entire movie *just* for that kinda shit are long gone (was the only reason I ever watched "Basic Instinct" and "Showgirls" back in the day- am sure I'm not alone on that).
"You'll have to tell me if you see it first whether or not Crispin Glover acts like a total spazz the whole time"
From what I know about the movie, I'm gonna go with "yes".
"Watch for the Salvador Dali scene"
Have seen that clip but still wanna check out the film because I feel like it's among the better Hitchcock films I haven't seen and like I said earlier, I'm also trying to watch more Ingrid Bergman films.
"The Star Wars Holiday Special - Oh bleurgh, you don't want to watch this."
Not even stoned outta my gourd? Actually think I may have seen at least part of this as a kid but repressed all memory of it.
"Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story - Wait, this is available? I thought this was one of those Holy Grail movies that nobody will ever see, like The Day The Clown Cried or the five-hour Thin Red Line."
Here ya go homie (don't say I never did nothin for ya):
"THX 1138 - Not bad early Lucas but American Graffiti remains his high mark."
Not expecting anything great, certainly not on the level of "Graffiti" but it's been described as "early arty" Lucas, which piqued my interest.
"Troll 2 - You've got to see this once, but see the documentary Best Worst Movie immediately after, bleurghski."
Already seen that doc- is partly why I wanna see the movie. Have also seen that "Oh my ghooood" scene about a million times.
