Yep back in the 90's, aside from the occasional skin mag obtained through various methods (usually via shoplifting or from someone's older brother), films like "Basic Instinct" and "Showgirls" were all we had. Teens today are spoiled as hell with their dating apps and seemingly unlimited supply of free internet porn. Wasn't aware that Bruce revealed his Willis in "Color of Night" (don't think I've even heard of that film), though.
Eh, I'm not a huge fan of "Shadow of a Doubt" (found it to have a pretty gimmicky premise and have a lot of corny moments and seem to remember some pretty glaring plotholes as well) but have always been curious about "Lifeboat" *because* of its gimmicky premise. I probably need to watch more Hitchcock in general- FWIW I've seen are "Psycho", "Notorious", "The Birds", "Vertigo", "Rear Window", "North By Northwest", "Shadow of a Doubt" and "Strangers On A Train".
Well, "arty" is a relative term. This is George Lucas we're talking about so it's not like I'm expecting Jodorowsky or anything. From clips and stills I've seen, "THX" does seem to possess a pretty strong "2001" influence, though.
