More appropriate answers to Eric B's question:
The Kinks - Village Green Preservation Society
Album I lost my virginity to, sophmore year of high school (my gf and I cut class and snuck into her dad's house when he wasn't there). Was an impulsive choice but in retrospect, it always struck me as an odd one, especially when you consider some of the songs on there, especially "All of My Friends Were There" and "Phenomenal Cat" (though "Phenomenal Pussy" would be obviously be better).
The Coup - Genocide & Juice
The Roots - Do You Want More?
The main 2 albums that we always used to bump when cruising around in the car of the main friend of mine with wheels during high school. 3 guesses as to what we were doing.
The Mothers of Invention - We're Only In It For The Money
Even more than the last 2, this reminds me of smoking weed for the first time, because it became the go-to smoking albums for groups of people who used to hang out at my friend's house during lunch (he lived just a few blocks away from our high school).
The Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty
Always reminds me of Hawaii because it came out while I was on vacation there with my family so I bought it there and listened to it pretty much exclusively for the rest of the trip.
Most recently, I heard the Can bootleg "Ogat Ogam" (my favorite Can bootleg, a jam from the "Tago Mago" sessions, hence the title) on a camping trip to Whiskeytown Lake. The lake is huge and full of tiny islands so we took a boat out to one of them and while my friends chilled on the boat, I ventured onto the island by myself to smoke weed and listen to the Can album for the first time. Loved it at first listen and it was a great way to experience it for the first time (goes back to what I said in my earlier post) so now I'm back on the island every time Iisten to it
