Is the idea of the "cult film" still relevant
in the streaming/Youtube/DVD/etc. age? I feel like the idea only particularly makes sense in a fairly literal interpretation of the word "cult" - a movie that feels like it was made for you, that you feel some ownership of it because nobody else knows about it. I doubt anybody feels that way much these days, both because movies are easier to see and it's easier to get others' opinions about them.
