AMSP is good though the world probably isn't going to end up talking about it very much.
Ozric Tentacles? Erpland (1990) was where I started, and it's mostly good, started off by the glorious space rock instrumental "Eternal Wheel," perhaps my all time favorite guitar solo. And then I listened to....their....other stuff....and felt it was diminishing returns. Still they have the only song I know of ("Toltec Spring") that uses a guy clanking a tea jar as percussion.
Thanks for the reminder of Grizzly Bear.
The Disintegration Loops - They're pretty creepy paired up with that static 9/11 evening footage, which was a total accident that William Basinski filmed while working on the album (he's actually apparently grown tired of telling the story.) That said, I don't know if you'd want to turn off the lights and listen to like all 63 minutes of four trumpet notes farting away until they "die."
BTW, this has been "performed" "live," which means Basinski sits behind some stereo equipment while the tape plays for 63 minutes and pretends to do stuff.
