Either the dude is an absolute master of kayfabe or he genuinely wants to spread his positive message of partying as a metaphor for the philosophy you should live life by. And it makes me happier thinking the latter is the case. What felt like a gimmick 15 years ago now feels practically like he's wearing his heart on his sleeve. And making the most bombastic power-pop anthems ever while he's at it.
If you ignore the lyrics the new album is pretty much just I Get Wet but more consistent and a little more varied in sound (not too much tho). So you'd already pretty much know what to expect and whether or not you'd like it based on that. The lyrics really frame the album in a different light though and that's really what makes it go the extra mile for me. I don't think I've ever heard an album so immediate and direct with it's lyrical messages. Like it or not that really sets it apart.
