I'm not fluent enough with the original album for the changes to stand out, but afterwards I flicked back and forth with another youtube vid of the original. To be honest I probably prefer the original vocals which sound a bit less digitized, but I wouldn't say the difference is that pronounced.
I would say this version is too long, and if I was Howe I'd be embarrassed at my singing voice being heard even by my friends and family, let alone recorded and released for public consumption. But Fly From Here is still a really good track, and I really love the bouncy bit at the end of "Life On A Film Set".
I think the original is probably better, but I still kind of like that they did it, it seems like a rare example of them doing something just for the satisfaction of doing it, rather than as some lame way to keep the band limping along. It might be their only late period album that has any intrigue about it.
