Today I digitized my vinyl copy of Aida and realized it's my operatic b###hes Brew. It was the first opera I ever bought and while I liked parts of it, it didn't really leave much of an impression, and many years and attempts to get into it later, it's/they're still among my least satisfying of all operas/fusion/Miles albums. I know every bit of Aida, I think it's objectively good, but I feel nothing. I guess Liquid Swords would also fit in its genre: I haven't become a fan of hip-hop but it broadly follows the same contours.
I eventually -- and, oddly, not long after -- bought La Traviata, and I got Head Hunters in the same Amazon order as b###hes Brew, so I wasn't long put off by my introductions. I guess I'm not sure what I'm asking for -- not great albums that leave little impression, nor introductions to genres that left you cold, but hopefully you can divine what I'm talking about and, even if not, your interpretations might pick the place up after a few quiet days.

I'm getting much better at typing on the on-screen keyboard, though it consistently autocorrects "its" to "it's".
