You disappoint me Ken Ken. What, you people probably didn't like "Best Days" and "Yuko & Hiro" as much as I did? Are you all still stuck on Gorillaz? (Note: I hate Gorillaz aside from "Feel Good Inc.")
The Blur s/t is about half a drag to me now. It takes such a huge hit between "Death Of A Party" and "Essex Dogs." Thank God I like "Essex Dogs." But the rest of that? No way. What was with their albums all being too long? And why did it get comparisons to Pavement? And did Malkmus really screw the Elastica girl just to be a dick to Albarn?
I revisited most of 13 recently and God does the damn thing go on too long (say, I just said that!) "1992" is pretty worthless to me now but "Battle" sounds cooler than it used to. I like the little Optigan thingy at the end but I can't make up my mind about "Caramel."
I actually never bothered with Think Tank or Leisure due to all the negative reviews. I also looked back at the Britpop debacle of 1995 which has made the cover of approximately 13,723 issues of British rock magazines and this one is really hilarious. On the left ugly pissface of Gallagher, on the right Damon Albarn looking all of fifteen years old.
