bogged down by the romantic subplot (which would have been more tolerable with better actors than Clooney and Lopez)
I don't think either's a great actor, but this a weird complaint to me considering how much chemistry they have in the movie (I'm far from the only one to notice it). I do think the romantic subplot feels a little out of place in the movie, but it's one of the most fun elements so it doesn't bother me.
I like Soderbergh. I'd rank his movies something like:
Sex, Lies and Videotape
Out Of Sight (although it's been years since I saw it)
Ocean's Thirteen (although I remember almost nothing about it)
King of the Hill
The Girlfriend Experience
with everything through Side Effects worth seeing.
