Bale is a bitter but dutiful soldier taking Wes Studi and his family back to Montana, and one of the other soldiers is Bale's depressed friend played by Rory Cochrane. Partway through the journey the pick up Foster, who used to serve with them but is an axe murderer now, so they have to take him to hang. At some point he gets away and Bale shoots him and says that he'll just bleed to death so they don't need to chase him, but since Cochrane is suicidal he chases him anyway and kills Foster and himself off screen where Bale finds them later.
> Egghhhnnnn. I'll stick to Dances With Wolves.
Geronimo an American Legend is better IMHO. If you can even get that one in widescreen it's the edition that's bundled with some movie called Gringos that has Gregory Peck and Jane Fonda in it. It deserves a blu ray release way more than Hostiles even deserves to exist. It does alot of the stuff that Hostiles tries to do.
