The Loud Family is another new discovery. I'm somewhat of a Scott Miller fan and thought I'd check em out, so this is the only album I've heard so far. This style of music goes down easy for me; can't say I like the whole album, which feels a little long (and a bit whiny), but I really like Don't Respond, She Can Tell.
As for Donna, I'm far from an expert outside the hits. I went for this record in particular because I love I Feel Love. FYI it's a concept album of sorts that starts in the musical past (40s/50s) and moves up to the "future" (I Feel Love). It's hit-or-miss; most of the old-sounding songs work well enough, but side 2 loses me a little before being redeemed by I Feel Love at the end.
