Brazilian coffee producers harvested 92% of the 2021/22 crop area as of Aug. 17, up from 89% a week ago, according to a report disclosed by consulting firm Safras & Mercado.
Harvest pace is slightly delayed compared to a 5-year average of 94%
Harvest of arabica coffee is 88% complete, down from 91% a year ago and a 5-year average of 92%
Producers have already concluded the conilon harvest
Brazil’s 2021/22 coffee output is seen at 56.5m bags of 60 kilos each, Safras estimates, of which 52.2m bags were already harvested
