In that 1978 year and in other years when there was a severe frost, how long was the delay between the time of the frost and when the price of coffee reacted? I am, of course, wondering why, if the damage is indeed as widespread and severe as many reports indicate, the price has not appreciated even more than it has? Or is there enough coffee in storage from previous years to cover next year's shortfall?
