Without Vincent Meylan's scholarship and his publication on the jewellery history of Boucheron, none of us would have any idea of what Mrs Greville's emerald tiara looked like.
Thank you so much Vincent! Although I would have found newspaper references to Mrs Greville wearing her emerald necklaces and an emerald tiara, I would have never recognised the tiara without Vincent Meylan's scholarship.
Vincent, your scholarship allowed us all to recognise the Greville emerald tiara long before the TV announcers (using a palace press release) identified the tiara worn by Princess Eugenie as one of the jewels Mrs Greville left to Queen Elisabeth the Queen Mother.
Regarding the year in which the tiara was created. Because Vincent Meylan had access to the archives of Boucheron, the jewellers who created the tiara, I am going to continue to use the date of creation which Vincent Meylan used. After all he had access to the records of the creators: the House of Boucheron.
Many thanks and congratulations on your scholarship Vincent.
