Holy shit I forgot to ever get around to Silence!
I wish I had more to say but I'm not familiar with most of that stuff, haven't seen Clueless in 20 years or whatever and we already talked about Jaws . Hey remember that scene at the beginning of Clueless when the two girls get out of class and talk on their cell phones until they bump into each other? That's normal now! Wait no it's old fashioned, now they'd be texting. Oh and hear those Deep Purple live albums. The Coverdale stuff mostly sucks. The song Burn is good and so is Mistreated but that probably became more associated with Rainbow. It's also in the movie Strange Magic.
I've been watching two great tv shows that only lasted on season:
The Westerner - Sam Peckinpah's TV show starring Brian Keith. It only lasted one season, prompting a bunch of TV writers including Gene Roddenberry and Rod Sterling to take out a full page add begging the network to keep it on! Really Sam left to pursue the movies.
It's an amazing show, about an anti-hero drifter and his anti-Lassi dog (I think played by Old Yeller) getting into adventures that are sometimes so down-beat it's hard to believe they were allowed to make them, with occasional comedic episodes of people getting drunk and breaking stuff that also seem like something that would not have been permitted by normal TV executives. See it if you like Peckinpah at all, the better episodes are some of his best work.
Also I'm rewatching Firefly. Looking forward to digging into the special features on that one.
