The key sequence in the film is what Jay Bennett and Jeff Tweedy ended up arguing over, some silly musique concrete bit that you barely notice on the album, and their bickering comes across like a scripted reality show or something, but it ended up causing Bennett to leave the band and Bennett's super lush keyboard arrangements are about half of what made Summerteeth so great. Bennett had five solo albums and I wonder if they're all full of keyboardage too.
For a depressing read, read about people at the concert Bennett was supposed to play at on the day of his death about 9 years ago and the pic they posted of themselves: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Bennett
Weird, he used to be a junior high math teacher. Eat your heart out Robert Pollard!
I for some reason forgot to ever listen to *any* Wilco after 2004. ANY of it. And they made one of my favorite albums!
