I'm not sure how many seasons they can squeeze out of the story and still keep things good (probably not more than three), but I eagerly await the season 3 premier.
The writing is really good. The show is a worthy successor to Seinfeld in many ways. Some nice observations about everyday things on the show - for example, the prevalence of frozen yogurt shops in The Good Place: “There’s something so human about taking something and ruining it a little so you can have more of it."
The show has some Simpsons-inspired writing too; for example, the names of restaurants with puns. I was particularly fond of the bakery "Beignet and the Jets."
