When I went to AA and we read from the writings there, going around the room, there were always the borderline illiterates who took two or three minutes to sound out and ever so slowly try to work their way through a paragraph. We (the audience) were typically just as flummoxed as the readers. (Never realized before then that illiteracy was still a thing, especially since I live in one of the most educated counties in the country. You mingle with a lot of different people in AA -- it's *almost* a reason to go back.)
Anyway, I'm not calling you illiterate, just saying that I tend to lose momentum and get bogged down when I read too slowly (especially with Greek and Latin).
