Re: A 90s Yes song I'd forgotten
I honestly think Yes were officially a dinosaur band with the release of ABWH, in 1989. I don't think Big Generator is half bad actually (and it had a great album closer...if the band had officially ended there, with "Holy Lamb," very little would be lost IMO and it would have been a great tune to end their career on!) so I don't want to count that as quite being a dinosaur release. But ABWH blows and the band were fighting like a bunch of pissy old men by then (and of course in 1989, 45 year old rock stars were something people were still trying to wrap their brains around.)
I don't think anyone on Earth, ELP themselves included, gives a rat's ass for those two reunion albums--even most prog-review sites don't bother to cover them and they aren't terribly proggy anyway. The only thing I remember is that the first one opens with a bunch of big fat overproduced bombast that would have sounded more appropriate in 1985 than 1992, and the second one had a song about missing children.
