Re: Related: How many of you read multiple books at once?
I usually have a couple novels going at a time, generally of different styles/tones/countries of origin/time period. The habit goes back to when I was commuting three hours a day and liked to have the option to switch books if I was getting tired of one. Sometimes I find myself having more than two in progress, which often ends up being too much, and causes me to neglect some (e.g. I'm theoretically reading Ellison's "Invisible Man", but I haven't actually picked it up for a month and may never go back to it).
