And as I mentioned, I've also been catching up on graphic novels that I never got around to (Batman, Watchmen, Maus, Sin City etc), which obviously serve their own unique purpose.
Book size and weight can also be a factor. If a book is large and/or heavy, it's gonna stay at home regardless of the content. That's what's going on with the Vivian Stanshall book- it's an easy read but it's also an art book so it's huge.
I recently bought a copy of "Skeleton Crew", the only King book I ever read (as a kid and not sure if I finished it) and will probably reread it before checking out anything else. TBH, "The Shining" is the only other one I'm really interested in reading, and even *that* seems like it'll be a chore. Wish King would have actually used an *editor* in his coke marathon days
