By the way, I MET Lloyd Kaufman about four years ago. RETURN TO NUKE 'EM HIGH VOL. 1 showed at a super-cool theater in my fair city for one night and Kaufman was in attendance, talked about it before and after the show and then hung out in the lobby for a few hours to talk and take pics with people.
I went and I approached him afterward and said something to the effect of "I love how angry this movie is. It doesn't feel like the work of a tired old man."
Mr. Kaufman very quickly fired back with "Well, this movie IS the work of a tired old man" (it was very funny). I said maybe three sentences and then he talked my ear off for several minutes about the business. He's a very funny and engaging talker so that was a real treat.
As for your clip, I LIKE IT. And I'm not even an REM fan. I love the idea of that 60s dance party show approach to fairly anamolous music.
And it aired on Nickeloedeon, which I watched a great deal of as a child thirty-five years ago. Maybe I watched that in 1985 while eating mac and cheese and didn't think anything of it.
Or maybe I didn't.
