The s/t from 1976 is not his debut. He released Wanted, Dead or Alive in 1969 and told his fans not to buy it. It is indeed awful, not as bad as Attila but same as Joel he tried to pretend it didn't exist. Just crappy blues rock of no distinction. Perhaps the biggest quantum leap in talent on this list, though a 7 year gap easily explains it.
He's a guy we have NEVER talked about on this board. I really liked his first two albums, and his 4th The Envoy, can't really get into the rest.
