"It runs out of good ideas in the first 20 minutes"
Toldya you shoulda blazed up first motherucker. Then you definitely would have laughed at "Eye & Eye" (the rasta eyeball henchmen). Super stupid movie but I thought it was pretty entertaining.
Can't believe you watched the "Super Mario Bros" movie. The way you're describing it is pretty much how I remember it (just a bunch of aimless chase scenes). Don't really remember much of the visual effects (except for something that was maybe supposed to be Yoshi but looked more like one of the baby Godzillas from the 1998 version of "Godzilla") or Hopper's performance though.
Too bad that you can't get into Chaplin (know you've seen "City Lights" but howzabout "The Gold Rush"? you should at least watch that one- better than "Modern Times" IMO).
"Speed" seems like the type of movie it'd be fun to rewatch w/ a bunch of stoned and/or drunk 90's kids . "The Last Jedi" however...
"I'm So Glad" is a Skip James song, you ####ing cracker. Sure, the lyrics are very simple but I wouldn't call them "dumbass". Aside from that one and the one you mentioned, "I Feel Free" is the one most folks know and those 3 are the main highlights. The version of "Rollin & Tubmblin" is disappointing to say the least.
Basically agreed on ELO's third album- not bad but pretty forgettable and I never feel like listening to it (ditto w/ the 2nd album)
