Here's my RYM review FWIW
Pure, undiluted, nihilistic, misanthropic rage in musical form. Maybe the lyrics aren't exactly what you'd call "mature" but perhaps the character who Trent's inhabiting on this loose concept album is immature? At any rate, it's the perfect album to discover during your awkward middle school years but it still holds up, mainly due to the sonic magic tricks that Trent performs here. This truly is one of the best-produced albums of all time, IMO and the foreboding atmospheres created by tracks like "Closer", "March of the Pigs", "Reptile" and "Piggy" effectively articulate what the lyrics cannot- complete and utter disillusionment and resentment. If you're in the mood for a dark listen, few albums are more appropriate.
