Unmade is decent as well:
I saw the film at the London Film Festival Premiere, also attended by a Bowie-channeling Tilda Swinton and Dakota Fanning, who I have to say in the flesh is very very distractingly beautiful.
I haven't seen the original but I enjoyed this remake quite a lot. It's mostly a sombre mood piece that occasionally veers into lurid excess. It is overlong though, and has a gimmick fairly close to its center that was distracting and disappointingly pointless in the end.
The same day I saw Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, which I can confirm does actually exist, though upon seeing it you might find yourself wondering why.
