While it was on Hulu, it was also on Fandor in limited, rotating "curated" selections (Ingmar Bergman films, romance movies around Valentine's, horror around Halloween, stuff like that) that expired in about two weeks.
I think the Criterion stuff will come back to streaming. I know zilch about the logistics, but I actually think that Criterion could pull off their own service. I'd subscribe.
Mostly though, I'm going to miss all that Turner-owned classic stuff. Twenty James Cagney movies ready to stream anytime, etc.
I'm really hoping that niche can be filled again eventually.
