I like a bit of late Schumann works for solo piano and I love Mendelssohn's Octet, first Piano Concerto and a couple of organ works, but the majority of their stuff does absolutely nothing to me. I don't actively dislike their music (save for Shcumann's vocal works, which I find straightforwardly awful) but it just kind of passes through wth a lot of oompah through my ears.
I do love a lot of non-Germanic Romantic-era composers. Berlioz is one of my favorite composers ever, and I love Smetana, Berwald, Faure, Alkan and a couple of others. But I never can get into any mid- or late-Romantic era German or Austian stuff, even the lesser (and supposedly great) guys like Bruch, Wolf or Raff. I do like a lot of Liszt, even though his language is obviously close to the Austrian school of thought, but I hate a lot of his more notable music as well.
I must say I also dislike most of the Russian music of the same historical period, save for Glinka and Mussorgsky, but for other reasons altogether.
