Disc 1 and the first 4 cuts on disc 3 are where it's at (you might like the live tracks mire than me but again, I thought the sound quality was pretty poor). Just listened again last night and it reaffirmed that Carlos's soloing has never sounded better. I've always thought he was a great, underrated guitarist but he's definitely more controlled on his more famous later stuff but I prefer the unhinged approach on these early recordings.

Not sure whether you're joking here but I have a feeling that if a surviving 80's equivalent exists, it's either already out there (possibly on an obscure label like this one) or is something you wouldn't want touch w/ a 10 foot (clown) pole
