Yeah, come to think of it Doomsday was 12/21/12. There was an earlier prediction from a (now dead) guy named Harold Camping for May of 2011; there was one house near me with a giant banner saying that the end was coming and to repent. Up until then there was a usual amount of activity, with lit windows and a teenager mowing the lawn ans shit, and then come Doomsday they up and disappeared. I don't know if it was embarrassment or wanting to show people that the prediction came true and they were whisked away in the Rapture or what, but all signs of life stopped and I don't think it's been fully occupied and used since.
There are some hilarious pictures from a 1975 concert in Toronto in the gatefold, where there are also, in very very very tiny letters, the names of cities beneath the lyrics for each track. If you weren't looking for them you wouldn't notice they were there. (The side-two tracks in the gatefold tracklisting omit "The Fountain of Lamneth" as well, but it's there in the lyrics for it.)
I seek you. LOL. Wasn't that the messaging program for people not cool enough for AOL or am I thinking of something else? Has Facebook Messenger officially taken over the IM-program crown? That was a pretty weird absence.
The last part of "The Necromancer" rips off "Sweet Jane".
