Re: Just bought tickets to see Richard Thompson actually
I've seen Thompson live solo and he's great - never seen him with a band. His stuff with Linda Thompson is great - solo in the studio he's pretty hit-and-miss. The one I recommended is a weird one-off collaboration, but it's got an abstract jazz element which is why I thought of it.
5000 Spirits is easily my favorite ISB album.
