Nah she loves all that stuff
Well not so much the DVDs- those are kinda gag gifts. Part of our "nostalgiclassics" tradition. We watched the first episode of "The Ellen Show" and it was easy to see why it got cancelled so quickly. I'm sure you remember but for those who don't memorize this kinda stuff, this was the hastily-assembled "gay as we wanna be" show created in reaction to "Ellen" being cancelled when Ellen came out IRL. Costars Martin Mull, Jim Gaffigan and Cloris Leachman and was co-created by Mitchell Hurwitz just 2 years before "Arrested Development". Might sound more interesting than it is- "gay as we wanna be" in 2001 was actually pretty mild and it still falls prey to the standard cheesy sitcom trappings (even if it's definitely better than your average sitcom)
My sister especially loved the Buffy candle. She already wanted an Our Lady of Guadeloupe candle and "Buffy" is her all-time favorite show. She did actually seemed psyched about the "Roseanne" DVD as well. "Season 4" was what I randomly chose at the store but it looks like a good one- it's the one where Darlene starts getting gothy and is the reason where the character of David is introduced.
