As far as actual LPs from the Seventies, I think that Schoolboys in Disgrace and Low Budget are pretty good. The rest of them (that I've heard) leave me cold. I have not listened to their double-length, "Art Rock" records. If my compilations represent the best tracks, then I've heard enough.
One more question: have you heard Steely Dan's discography? One of my favorite bands. Extremely consistent.
