I think I'll collect physical media as long as I go to record stores -- well no shit, Sherlock; what I mean is the joy of browsing. When I'd buy exclusively on Amazon I guess there wasn't a point to it and I could have just downloaded them, except for classical music with texts. But now that I'm getting back into vinyl I have the idea of getting a collection started again. I didn't make clear that I ordered those Rush and Genesis and whatever albums on vinyl from Discogs. I imagine that in a college town -- even in Kansas -- there should be a record store
The point of having 24 hours of A Christmas Story isn't to watch it for 24 hours, but to be able to dip back in and out of it. I watched the whole movie this year over the course of like three different shifts.
If you pay attention Brian Kuh is quite an accomplished gamer in his own right. Many high scores, but he still sucks up to Billy Mitchell. I don't know about Babblers' pursuits being much less bonkers; it's just a more socially accepted hobby. George might be like that one guy from the movie: "Ringo Starr is very, very cunning..." (They even sort of look alike!)
