I'd say the folks who even remember the "Rockit" video are pretty much dwindling. Or at least, they're mostly even older than we are. I had no memory of it until Matt mentioned it in a recent thread. Sadly, I feel like a pretty small percentage of the "public" you're referring to even knows who Herbie is and if they do, they just lump him together w/ all the other "anonymous" old jazzmen who haven't died yet. I hope this isn't true but the cynic in me says it is. Though he *has* received some pretty prestigious awards in the last few years so maybe he's won some new fans?
"I kind of dislike A Christmas Story TBH and wonder if anyone has ever really watched 24 hours of it in a row."
More importantly, if you sync it w/ the full version of "7 Skies H3", does it result in any "Dark Side of the Moon"/"Wizard of Oz" style happy accidents?
Re: "South Park", I tapped out pretty early so maybe there have been better seasons more recently (though from the quality of the show when I stopped watching- around the time of the "zipline" episode- I seriously doubt it) but I always considered season 7 to be the best (and it's the only one I own, though I haven't watched it in awhile). I mean, it just has the highest number of my favorite episodes like "Fat Butt & Pancake Head" (was always my #1), "Krazy Kripples" and "Raisins". And um what exactly was comparatively "sophisticated" about Manbearpig?
