I've thought about giving vaping another chance
But when I tried it I didn't really like the feeling. Was too gradual and just seemed artificial for lack of a better term. And being used to weed it was really hard to gauge the strength/how stoned I was so of course I wound up getting way too stoned (and only realized this when I noticed myself reading "Calvin & Hobbes" panels out of order). Though I guess periods of adjustment (finding out what works, strengthening your tolerance etc) is unavoidable when switching methods of getting high. I know there was definitely so trial and error when I started on the edibles and capsules. One time I was meeting friends at a restaurant that was right by the train station and I got so high I seriously doubted my ability to use Google maps and find my friends (though luckily I persevered).
But anyway, vaping seems like a good stepping stone to quitting smoking (and would allow me to actually be able to smoke inside) but for now, the capsules seem to work pretty well, especially in regard to helping me sleep. If I take one of those as soon as I get home from work at 6:00, I can exercise, shower, play guitar and eat dinner while it gradually kicks in and around 9:00 or 10:00 I'm ready to read in bed until the THC inevitably knocks me out. I use them during the day in place of smoking sometimes as well. Obviously more convenient than vaping- you just pop a pill and go about your day. And let's face it, every time you see someone vaping in public, part of you silently mutters "Douchebag".
