However, I upgraded to the acrylic platter after only a few weeks (it does make a positive difference).
I also upgraded to the Ortofon Blue stylus after I put about 800 hours on the Red that it came with. That also makes a positive difference.
It's generally considered to be an "entry level good" table, as far as the audiophile arena is concerned, and I'm happy with that for now. My objective was to get on the right side of "good," - for the sound, obviously, but also to protect the records.
I might consider upgrading when the Blue cartridge needs to be replaced, but that should be a few years from now, so I've got time to plan it out.
