Re: 03-01-2019 - 27-01-2019
It was the first time I listened to In Search of the Lost Chord (basically CD1 was the first time I've heard the album, CD 2 is the second time I've heard the album). I'm not familiar enough to tell the difference but I'll say I didn't like it listening to it first time but the album clicked the second time (I basically liked the first half of the album but think the second half is fairly mediocre. Probably a 11/15 type album). Although it's hard to attribute this to the mix or just me getting used to it.
Tommy Demoes was a fascinating listen to hear an album where Pete Townshend was the lead vocalist of Tommy with a stripped down arrangement. the songs seemed to have more keyboard presence in the album (so keyboard often play over orchestral instruments such as the horns). If you are a fan of Tommy it is worth a listen. Although I wouldn't swapped with the album or live version
