Yeah I'm not sure the historical/political tangents really added that much, and the casting stunt was hugely distracting. But there was brilliant stuff in it and overall I appreciated it for being willing sprawl and overreach.

Re: the casting... I've since read that a certain cast member was actually playing a *triple* role, which I have to admit I half suspected at one point, but mostly passed me by. So if they managed to slip that in I have to hand it to them.
