Always wondered about the availability of the "Let It Be" film

As far as I know, this'll be the first DVD release and I always assumed its limited availability was down to Paul and due to how he come off (or how he's perceived to come off by some fans and maybe Paul himself) but aren't aware of him ever addressing this, though it seems like it would have come up in interviews. Of course now w/ the new expanded release providing a more "well-rounded" depiction of the album's sessions, Paul would probably tell you that this was his plan all along or that this was the way the film was always meant to be (similar to his rationalization for "Let It Be Naked")
