Music Babble

Been watching it lately. Bought my sister season 5 for Xmas and revisited it, realizing that it's probably the peak (just randomly grabbed a cheap used copy at my local record store so I definitely got lucky). It's better than I remember and makes me realize how many jokes went over my head when I was a kid. Also forgot how dark it is. The season begins w/ Dan losing his bike shop and Becky eloping w/ Mark and ends w/ David moving in after Roseanne find out about his abusive mother. There's also the episode where Roseanne and Jackie's dad dies and they talk about *his* abuse. And moments like Roseanne telling Dan that she could only afford to pay 1 bill and chose the water bill rather than the electricity bill because you can only live 2 days w/o water, to which Dan replies "Great, so I can take a bath but I can't throw the toaster in". If a present day sitcom had a joke like that (or a few others I could mention), it probably wouldn't fly.

Also started watching season 6 on Amazon Prime and there's a dip in quality but it's still good- includes the episode where they find/smoke weed and the episode w/ DJ masturbating, which were always favorites of mine
