I thought Irmin was the leader because I got the impression from George's review of Soundtracks (because he gave that one the 10, see?) that Irmin somehow financed the band or had connections or something. I sort of half assedly memorized that and then just moved on. Thanks for the additional info on what he and Holger did.
I adore "One More Night" and your comments are making me realize that Irmin's instruments weren't too often at the front of the band's sound, it's almost always the rhythm section and Michael Karoli. Irmin's playing is remarkably un-bombastic for an art-rock keyboard player.
