Burnside was a bluesman who killed a guy over a card game. Thus was during the 50's, more recent than Leabelly (and especially Jonson) but it almost seems *expected*, as ####ed up as it may sound. But if a modern-day artist or celebrity who it's *not* expected from murdered someone horrifically for no reason/a bad reason.... well I guess they'd be OJ. And let's face it, the public is pretty much done with him- and he wasn't even found guilty. If oh I dunno Ben Stiller butchered Melody from "Hey Dude" over an affair, I doubt we'd be seeing any more of those "Fockers" movies.
