High school was definitely up there as far as times in my life where I had the most fun. I mean, it was an art high school in SF where the teachers didn't really care if we smoked weed. And I really start falling in love with the creative process back then- drawing, making comics, writing poems and the occasional treatment and/or screenplay for my film class. Which lead to taking up guitar and wiring my own songs which pretty much coincided with graduation.
I just can't call it as fun as elementary school because I also started feeling the pressures of my imminent "adulthood" and feeling disillusioned with the world (this was also around the time of GW Bush, 9/11, technology taking over- especially in SF- and music starting to get really shitty (and to a lesser extent, films as well). But in general, my stress level was shockingly low for that age and I have a lot of fond crazy memories from that time.
