is definitely hurt a bit by the ending, but it still has enough going for it to make it about Hitchcockís sixth or so best. The three leads are excellent and itís got a totally unique atmosphere. Speaking of forced subpar conclusions, his film the year after this, Suspicion, is the one thatís really ruined by a bad ending. And this time not even Joan Fontaine can save it
